In partnership with the CU Denver TechTA team, I co-developed pedago.me, a grassroots online community for eLearning developers, multimedia professionals, instructional designers, learning experience designers, and all other terms for Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) professionals.
Pedago.me is a play on the word pedagogy and encourages a software/edtech-agnostic approach to e-learning. I co-presented at the 2016 Teaching and Learning Technology Symposium at Metro State University on the topic of pedago.me and collaboration. The community continues to grow daily and has evolved via the real-time collaboration tool, Slack. In addition to discussing new technologies, design thinking, industry topics and trends, the group shares networking and job opportunities and hosts monthly online discussions to further nurture the life-long learning community.
We are constructing the site from the ground up and it is a great time to get involved. Here’s how:
⤜ Slack: plug into our slack channel for immediate support and camaraderie
⤜ Twitter Chats: discuss relevant elearning issues every 2nd Thursday at 7pm MST
⤜ Blogs: syndicate you blog’s edtech reflections with us: sign up here
